Hearts in Motion, a Weekly Feed Program

Hearts in Motion (HIM) is a non-profit mission organization that travels to and has established locations in Guatemala for children and people in need. They provide medical care through trips with volunteer doctors, they offer nutrition programs for malnourished children, and are continually building schools and centers to meet the needs of Zacapa, Guatemala. They host trips, but they raise money mainly through their online donation system. For example, people can sponsor children for the weekly feed program and the schools. I chose to focus on the Weekly Feed Program they host, which gives children in the area a chance to come to the HIM Nutrition Center for a free meal of rice, beans, juice, and fruit. For some, it’s their only meal that day.
